(US MEDIA GROUP) – Jared McCain, a standout basketball player hailing from Sacramento, has been selected in the first round of the 2024 NBA Draft by the Philadelphia 76ers.

McCain, a 6-foot-5 guard, played one year at Duke University before making the leap to the professional league. During his time with the Blue Devils, McCain averaged an impressive 14.3 points, five rebounds, and 1.9 assists per game.

Prior to his stint at Duke, McCain made a name for himself at Centennial High School, where he was named the 2021-2022 Gatorade California Boys Basketball Player of the Year. His outstanding performance on the court caught the attention of the 76ers, who wasted no time in selecting him as the 16th overall pick in the draft.
