On Tuesday, Jan. 23, at 9 a.m. Golden 1 Credit Union is celebrating the official grand opening of its first-ever Financial Resource Center in Del Paso Heights with a ribbon cutting event. The Center will serve as a resource for residents’ personal financial empowerment, providing education, products and services unique to their needs. This includes free financial education workshops and one-on-one coaching sessions with a goal of supporting members on their path to financial well-being and uplifting the community.

The grand-opening will take place at the Golden 1 Credit Union Financial Resource Center, 3725 Marysville Blvd. Suite 1, Sacramento, CA 95838, located inside the Greater Sacramento Urban League Empowerment Center building.

 In July 2023, Golden 1 announced its $10 million commitment to Sacramento’s Del Paso Heights neighborhood, a long-neglected, high-poverty area with a predominantly minority population.

The Credit Union’s five-year targeted investment supports key community organizations and projects, including opening this new Financial Resource Center within the neighborhood.

  • Sacramento Mayor Darrell Steinberg;
  • Senator Angelique Ashby, California Senate District 8 Representative;

  • North Sacramento Chamber of Commerce.
