  4. Good Grief: Grief in the Black Community – 4-6 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 25, online. Explore how to understand and cope with grief and loss on several levels, especially during the pandemic. Examine how loss impacts our day-to-day lives, the mental health of ourselves, loved ones, our community and where to find resources for support. Free and open to the public.
  5. 2023 Influence Awards Dinner – 6-10 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 25, at Center at Twenty-Three Hundred. The region’s most influential communicators and aspiring public relations professionals celebrate the exemplary work being produced across the greater Sacramento region.   6. WOW Wednesday – 6-8:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 25, at Spiritual Life Center. Led by Rev.   21. Gun Violence Restraining Orders Listening Session – Noon-2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 28, at Rose Family Creative Empowerment Center. WEAVE wants your input to better understand and learn the best ways to share information about legal protections and resources available for survivors of domestic violence when there are guns in the home. Information provided by participants will be used to inform WEAVE’s communication strategies and gun violence awareness campaign material.
