  1. Collaboration in Care Conference: Improving HIV and Aging Services – 8 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Monday and Tuesday, Sept. 18-19, at Hyatt Regency Sacramento. This conference is the first of its kind: sharing lessons from HIV care, aging services and more. They welcome direct service providers from all disciplines across the western United States such as mental health, service navigation, clinical care, social services and other specialties.
  2. She Shares: Women of the Sacramento Kings – 5-7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 19, at the California Museum. Join a conversation with some of the amazing women of the Sacramento Kings. Speakers will include: Matina Kolokotronis, Sacramento Kings COO; Lindsey Harding, Stockton Kings head coach; and Kayte Christensen, Sacramento Kings TV game analyst.
  3. An Evening in September: Community Against Sexual Harm (CASH) – 5:30-8 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 19, at Oak Park Brewing Company. This fundraiser helps meet the needs of women and children and provide nonjudgmental, trauma-informed programs and services. There will be a silent auction, raffle, food, drinks, music and fun.
  4. Black Health Network: Sacramento County Networking Event – 4-6 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 20, at Betty Irene Moore Hall. Join the first in-person BHN networking event in Sacramento. Come prepared to connect and cultivate relationships with like-minded Black health equity advocates. Members and nonmembers are welcome. Light refreshments will be served.
  5. Natomas Westlake Food Truck Mania – 5-8 p.m. third Wednesdays starting Sept. 20 at Westlake Park. Presented by SactoMofo and Sacramento City Councilmember Lisa Kaplan. This event brings together communities through shared food experiences and family-friendly fun.
  6. Solving Sacramento: Suds & Solutions & BBQ – 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 20, at Taste Buds BBQ. Come out for beers, barbecue and a “big ideas” discussion about what downtown Sacramento should be like for the people who live there. They’ll talk with Danielle Foster, the new executive director of Capitol Area Development Authority, which manages and oversees development of properties on the Sacramento grid.
  7. 2023 Metro EDGE Emerge Summit – 8 a.m.-6 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 21, at The Sofia, 2700 Capitol Ave. Join the West Coast’s premier young professional event of the year. Celebrate the 10th anniversary of gathering the region’s young professionals as we learn to engage, develop, give and empower our peers, communities and ourselves for a greater Sacramento. This year’s summit is packed with inspirational speakers, breakouts sessions with critical lessons and topics, and much desired networking.
  8. Diverse Women of the 3rd DCA: from Baby Steps to Giant Strides – Noon-1 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 21, at Sequoia at the Cannery. An inspiring event celebrating the incredible achievements of diverse women in the legal field. From baby steps to giant strides, this gathering showcases the remarkable journeys and accomplishments of women who have made a significant impact in the 3rd District Court of Appeal.
  9. Control the Controllable Session 6: Managing Stress and Balancing Diabetes – 5-6 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 21, via an online meeting room. This series, led by cardiometabolic disease scientist Candice Price, aims to raise awareness about prediabetes and type 2 diabetes prevention. The interactive sessions cover risks associated with type 2 diabetes, cardiovascular health and culturally relevant strategies for improving lifestyle factors such as diet, exercise, sleep and stress management.
  10. Swish and Swirl with NBA All-Star Domantas Sabonis – 5-8:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 21, at the Bogle Family Vineyards. The winery teams with the NBA all-star to benefit the local Make-A-Wish Foundation. Join them for an exciting evening that will transform a life, one wish at a time. Includes wine tasting, heavy appetizers, meet-and-greet with Sabonis, raffle prizes and a Q&A session.
  11. Speak Your Peace: Open Mic Night – 6:30-8:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 21, at Roberts Family Development Center. Express yourself through poetry, spoken word, storytelling, or even bring your musical talents to the stage. We encourage participants to share their thoughts, emotions and experiences in a safe and supportive environment.
  12. The Grand Tasting: 10 Years of Farm to Fork – 6-9 p.m. Friday, Sept. 22, at Capitol Mall Greens. Join Visit Sacramento for an elevated Farm-to-Fork Festival experience highlighting Sacramento’s rich culinary scene with tastings from 20 amazing chefs, libations and live entertainment.
  13. An Evening with Catherine Russell – 7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 22, at Sofia Tsakopoulos Center for the Arts. Grammy-winning vocalist ​Catherine Russell​ has toured the world, performing and recording with David Bowie, Cyndi Lauper, Paul Simon, Steely Dan, Jackson Browne, Michael Feinstein, the Holmes Brothers, Wynton Marsalis and Rosanne Cash among others, appearing on more than 200 albums.
  14. Karyn White – 8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 22, at Harlow’s. The R&B singer popular during the late 1980s and early 1990s is best known for several hit singles, including “Superwoman,” “Secret Rendezvous,” “The Way You Love Me,” and the U.S. Hot 100 No. 1 single “Romantic.” 
  15. Sacramento Area Girls Fire Camp – 8 a.m. Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 23 and 24, at the Sacramento Fire Academy in McClellan Park. This event, led by professional women firefighters, is for girls to experience the fire service firsthand. Campers in grades 9-12 participate in a two-day camp to learn team-building and leadership skills. The campers will have the opportunity to perform suppression skills such as venting, forced entry, search and rescue, ladders, first aid CPR and hose/fire stream management.
  16. Great American River Clean-Up – 9 a.m.-noon Saturday, Sept. 23, American River Parkway. Come join hundreds of other volunteers in the year’s largest American River Parkway clean-up, hosted by the American River Parkway Foundation.
  17. Green River’s third annual Reggae on the Creek – Noon-10 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 23, at Green River Brewing and Taproom. An amazing lineup of talented reggae artists will keep you grooving all night long. From up-and-coming local musicians to DJs with the Reggae Vibe, their lineup is sure to impress. Bring friends and family for a night of fun under the stars.
  18. Embodied Knowledge: A Dance Production – 7 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 23, at Celebration Arts. This production is directed by Nicole Manker. This year, the focus is on movement storytelling.
  19. Sacramento Reptile Show – 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 23, and 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 24, at the Pavilion at Cal Expo. With more than 3,000 reptiles on display, the Sacramento Reptile Show is the largest reptile show in Northern California and a must-see experience for all ages. They have brought back the ever popular venomous reptile display featuring more than 45 venomous species from around the world including king cobras and black mambas. Don’t miss this opportunity to witness and learn all about reptiles.
  20. Sacramento Blues Society: 2023 Hall of Fame Awards and Concert – 1-8 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 24, at Harlow’s. The hall honorees are chosen annually in recognition of their contributions to the preservation and promotion of the blues in Sacramento for at least 20 years. Entertainment will be provided by Marcel Smith with band Bob Jones and the Chosen Few. Hall inductees include Angel Reyes, Beth Reid-Grigsby, Frank Dupree, Jeff Hughson and Pinkie Rideau.
