The edition aims to inspire deeper engagement and bold policy changes to ensure every Black student is seen, supported, and set up for success.

Report Reveals Black Students’ Struggles In Sacramento Districts

The Sacramento County Board of Education has released a report showing that Black students in local school districts are struggling with low test scores, high absenteeism, and high expulsion and suspension rates, and is considering implementing anti-bias and diversity, equity and inclusivity training and culturally responsive education to help address these issues.
