The California State Fair is officially adding a dose of global rhythm and high-octane energy to its 2026 summer lineup. Today, officials announced that three-time Grammy Award winner and Fugees founder Wyclef Jean will take the Sky River Casino Stage on Saturday, July 18, as part of the Toyota Concert Series.
For over two decades, Wyclef Jean has been a chameleonic force in pop culture. From the monumental 1996 release of The Score with the Fugeesโan album that redefined the boundaries of hip-hopโto his international solo debut The Carnival, Jean has moved nearly nine million records worldwide while seamlessly blending Caribbean jazz, R&B, and soulful fusion.
“Fairgoers can expect an unforgettable night filled with global rhythms and high-energy performance,” said Tom Martinez, CEO of Cal Expo and the California State Fair. “Wyclef Jean is a dynamic cultural force who integrates music and technology to drive meaningful change.”
The California State Fair, recently ranked the best state fair in the nation, runs from July 17 to August 2. Admission to the Wyclef Jean concert is included with Fair admission, offering fans an incredible value to see a global superstar.
