  1. BLACK MEN: Alive and Well 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, March 4, at 520 9th St., Ste 102, Sacramento, 95814. This group provides a safe and honest forum for Black men to come together and discuss issues related to being a Black man in America. We will check in, get current, and talk about things that we may find difficult to discuss in other settings, experiencing the unique therapeutic value of one Black man helping another. Free and open to Black men in the community.
  2. Underground Books Author Talk Featuring Ben Crump 6-7:30 p.m. Thursday, March 5, at The Guild Theater. In Crump’s latest work, he offers a profound look at the ongoing fight for equity, accountability, and systemic change in Americaโ€”sharing personal insights, behind-the-scenes reflections, and a call to action for the next generation. This special author talk will include a moderated conversation, audience Q&A, and an opportunity to meet the author. All tickets include a copy of the book, which will be distributed at the event and available for signing following the program. Tickets are $35.
  3. Dale Elliot Jr. – Live Comedy 7:30 p.m. Thursday, March 5, at Punch Line Comedy Club. At just 28 years old, Jamaican-born, Los Angeles-based Dale Elliott Jr. has emerged as one of comedy’s most compelling new voices. Following Jamaica’s storied tradition of cultural impact in music and athletics, Dale stands to be the island’s next major cultural export, bringing Caribbean comedy to global audiences with the same breakthrough force.   4. 2026 Sacramento Women and Girls Festival 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday, March 7, at Sacramento City College. Kick off Womenโ€™s History Month with the Sacramento County Commission on the Status of Women and Girls. Explore their shopping marketplace and enjoy delicious local food, the kids can go wild in their dedicated Youth & Kids Zone featuring interactive crafts, games, and entertainment. Itโ€™s 100% free, outdoors, and designed to celebrate the women and girls who make this community shine. Donโ€™t miss the multicultural performances. Free and open to the public.
  5. NCNW Sacramento Valley Section 37th Annual Sweet Potato Festival 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday, March 7, at Simmons Community Center. Enjoy a day of live entertainment, small business vendors, community resources, food and family fun. Bring a baby doll of color and be entered into a drawing for a fabulous prize. Free and open to the public.
  6. “Throwback 80’s Snaps & Caps Tour” 2026 2-5 p.m. Saturday, March 7, at 1361 Fulton Ave., Sacramento. Hosted by Ricco Da Great, experience a night of live comedy from performers like D Funk, Shaun Grady, Alvin Duke, Red Da Truth, and more. Tickets are $18.
  7. 4th Annual BIQTPOC Spring into Wellness Health Fair 1-4 p.m. Sunday, March 8, at Flower Fist Art Market. Love Liberated and Sacramento Filipinx LGBTQIA+ will highlight community health and wellness resources, businesses, practitioners, and nonprofit organizations that serve Black, Indigenous (BI), Queer and Trans (QT), People of Color (POC) of Sacramento, CA Weโ€™ll have BIQTPOC-centered health and wellness resources, food, music, giveaways, yoga, sound healing and more. Free and open to the public.
  8. Rooted & Rising: A Mommy & Me Experience 1-4 p.m. Sunday, March 8, at Consulting, E.T.C. Event Space. Join us for Rooted & Rising, a beautiful Mommy & Me experience celebrating International Womenโ€™s Day with wellness, empowerment, and meaningful connection for mothers and children. This uplifting gathering is designed to bridge generations, build community, and empower families through wellness, beauty, financial education, and creative activities for kids.
