  4. Capitol Region Chamber Mixer 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 20, at The Boardwalk, Orangevale. This is your chance to build meaningful relationships, exchange ideas, and create partnerships that reach throughout the region. Whether you’re looking to grow your business, meet new referral partners, or simply reconnect with the regional business community, this is the place to be. Tickets are $35.
  5. BLACK MEN: Alive & Well 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 21, at South Sac Family Resource Center, 4343 Williamsbourgh Drive. This group provides a safe and honest forum for Black men to come together and discuss issues related to being a Black man in America. We will check in, get current, and talk about things that we may find difficult to discuss in other settings, experiencing the unique therapeutic value of one Black man helping another. Free and open to Black men in the community.
  6. R&B Bingo Night (1 Year Anniversary Celebration) 7-10:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 22, at Lock & Key, 2718 J St. Groove to the hits and win epic prizes. Come hang with ya favorite host Jayda Irene and DJ KayP. Tickets from $20.
  7. Arnez J – Live Comedy 7 p.m. Friday-Sunday and 9:15 p.m. Friday-Saturday, Jan. 23-25, at Punch Line Comedy Club. Arnez J is widely celebrated as one of the most energetic and physically gifted comedians in the industry. Known for his “whirling dervish” stage presence, he blends high-octane slapstick with sharp impressions and observational humor. Tickets from $44.

  9. Healthy Hair Care Series 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 24, at 1446 Ethan Way. This healthy hair care class focuses on Healthy Hair Foundations; learn what truly supports growth, retention, and scalp health — without myths or shortcuts. Attendees are asked to make a donation.
  10. Sacramento Children Showcase Noon-2:30 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 24, at 4625 44th St. Bring your kids and enjoy live music from Boss Tootie and Nyla’s Way. There will be singing, rapping, dancing and jokes. Free and open to the public.
