The cast of The Pickup recently sat down to break down Prime Video’s newest action-comedy, and it’s as wild behind the scenes as the heist on screen.Â
Directed by Tim Story (Barbershop, Fantastic Four), the film pairs Eddie Murphy’s grizzled armored truck veteran Russell with Pete Davidson’s eager rookie Travis. Their daily route is derailed when they cross paths with the cunning Zoe, played by Keke Palmer, whose criminal machinations turn a routine job into a full-scale, high-stakes hijack.Â
In our exclusive sit-down, the trio share how their chemistry — built on mutual admiration, off-camera re-enactments of Rocky, and generational comedy styles — influences the humor and tension in the film.Â
