Nominations are open for the Capital Black Chamber of Commerce Businesswoman of the Year Award. The award will be presented at the annual Women’s Forum, “Connecting the Dots,” on Thursday, Oct. 9.

The chamber seeks to honor a businesswoman who has shown excellence, innovation, and leadership in her field while also making a positive community impact and inspiring others.

Nominations must be submitted by Friday, Aug. 22, through the online nomination form. Finalists will be notified by Friday, Sept. 5, and the winner will be announced at the Women’s Forum.

The recipient will be honored at the event, have the opportunity to give an acceptance speech, and receive a one-year complimentary chamber membership. The Women’s Forum is an event dedicated to empowering and educating women leaders and entrepreneurs in the community.
