- Summer Break Camp 2025 – Week 7: Lab Rats (Science) 6 a.m.-7 p.m. Monday-Friday, July 28-Aug. 1, at Pat O’Brien Community Center, 8025 Waterman Road. Southgate offers camp opportunities for children ages 5-12. They offer healthy morning and afternoon snacks, arts and crafts, games, team building, STEM activities and much more. Elk Grove Unified School District will provide lunch daily through the Summer Lunch Program. Camp fees range from $25-$110.
- Sacramento’s Juneteenth Celebrations 10 a.m.-5 p.m. daily, July 28-Sept. 2, at Sacramento History Museum. Explore 22 years of Sacramento’s Juneteenth celebrations alongside the national history of Juneteenth in this powerful exhibit. Tickets from $6.
- Parkway Adventure Day 9 a.m.-noon Tuesday, July 29, at American River Parkway. This exhilarating series is designed for young explorers ages 9-12. July 29 features the ancient thrill of archery. Tickets are $50.
- Mahogany Urban Poetry feat. Dyvacat 7-10 p.m. Wednesday, July 30, at Our Place Event Space and Kitchen. Be moved, inspired and entertained by the raw emotion and captivating words of incredible artists. Tickets from $7.
- Author Talk featuring Myntube Tiaterrice 6-7:30 p.m. Thursday, July 31, at Underground Books. Tiaterrice presents her inspiring new release, “Being the Rays Under the Sun.” Through heartfelt reflections and powerful storytelling, Tiaterrice explores themes of resilience, self-love and healing. Meet the author, hear about her journey and get your book personally signed. Free, attendees must register.
- Deltron 3030 25th Anniversary 7 p.m. Thursday, July 31, at Ace of Spades. Deltron 3030 is an acclaimed American hip-hop trio known for its unique blend of sci-fi, dystopian concepts and imaginative lyrical storytelling. Tickets are $48.
- Coco Lamarr LIVE at The Butterscotch Den 6-10 p.m. Friday, Aug. 1, at the Butterscotch Den, 3406 Broadway. Known for her rich vocals and timeless style, Coco weaves together a setlist that spans decades – think Gershwin, Etta James, Queen and even the Backstreet Boys. It’s part jazz night, part throwback party, all wrapped up in a velvet voice and a whole lot of glamour. Free and open to the public.
- Avery*Sunshine 7 p.m. Friday, Aug. 1, at the Sofia Tsakopoulos Center for the Arts. She has established herself as a musical powerhouse who seamlessly blends roles as a pianist, singer, songwriter and producer. Tickets from $69.
- D’sean Ross – Live Comedy 7 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. Friday-Saturday, Aug. 1-2, at Laughs Unlimited Comedy Club. Ross is one of America’s hottest up-and-coming comedians. His stand-up routines continue to make audiences double over with laughter. Tickets from $29.
- The Altons & Thee Sinseers 6-10 p.m. Friday, Aug. 1, at Quarry Park Amphitheater, 4000 Rocklin Road, Rocklin. Get ready for a night of vintage soul, smooth harmonies, and West Coast rhythm as the Club Heartache Tour visits Sacramento. Blending old-school soul with a modern edge, these two powerhouse bands are redefining the retro revival. Tickets from $32.
- Bryson Musiq and the Caribbean Soul Live at Whiskey Tango! 9 p.m. Friday, Aug. 1, at Whiskey Tango, 2667 Alta Arden Expressway. Bryson Musiq and the Caribbean Soul are bringing their electrifying blend of funk, soul, R&B, old school and reggae to Sacramento. Free and open to the public.
- SCMF 2025 Healthy Families Fitness Festival 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 2, at The Grounds, 700 Event Center Drive, Roseville. This special event is dedicated to promoting healthy families and introducing our adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) program, which focuses on addressing and reducing the impact of ACEs to strengthen our communities. This festival is about supporting family well-being, creating connections and empowering our community toward healthier, brighter futures. Free and open to the public.
