- Revolutionary Grain: Exhibit On View at the California Museum Noon-5 p.m. Tuesdays-Sundays, July 8-Nov. 2, at the California Museum. This temporary exhibition features striking contemporary portraits and deeply personal stories of former members of the Black Panther Party. The exhibit portrays former Panthers as lawyers, social workers, teachers and political activists who continue to make a difference in their communities. Tickets from $8.

- West End Blues: A Sacramento Jazzstory 6-8:30 p.m. Thursday, July 10, at the Sacramento History Museum. Performed by the dynamic Harley White Jr. Orchestra, each show highlights different eras of Sacramento’s jazz history, with new music and visuals added each time as the story progresses through the years. Whether you’re returning or attending for the first time, every show offers something fresh. Tickets are $60.
- Cookie Williams & Friends – in the Callback Bar 7 p.m. Thursday, July 10, at Punch Line Sacramento. A night of comedy presented by Cookie, whose approach to humor gives her unique comedic spin on everyday life and observations. Tickets from $20.

- D.L. Hughley – Live Comedy 7 p.m. and 9:15 p.m. Friday-Saturday, July 11-12, at Punch Line Comedy Club. Hughley is a highly recognized and popular stand-up comedian known for his astute and politically savvy comedy style. Tickets are $50.
- Shaq’s BASS ALL-STARS 6:30-11 p.m. Friday, July 11, at Heart Health Park. Experience DJ Diesel (Shaquille O’Neal) throwing down hot tracks with extreme bass with Peekabo, Bear Grillz, Rated R and Cello. Tickets from $59.
- To Hope! Celebration Concert 7 p.m. Friday, July 11, at the Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament. Dave Brubeck’s beautiful and soulful Mass “To Hope! A Celebration” with choir and orchestra, conducted by the talented Ryan Murray. The highly acclaimed Omari Tau and Jeanette Blakeney are featured soloists. Tickets from $25.

- HIP-HOP RODEO BRUNCH 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday, July 12, at Our Place Event Space and Kitchen. Join Nights in the Valley, Hyphy RnB and More Nites Like This for an all-day experience that blends hip-hop heat with southern soul vibes. Expect a delicious brunch buffet, good vibes and great music to set the tone. They will also be teachin’ the crowd a few urban and country line dances. Tickets from $30.
- Olivia Lux Live at Faces Nightclub 6-11 p.m. Saturday, July 12, at Faces Nightclub. “RuPaul’s Drag Race All-Stars 10” contestant Olivia Lux performs live. Tickets are $23.
- Innersoul 6:30-9 p.m. Saturday, July 12, at Miner’s Leap Winery, 54250 S. River Road, Clarksburg. Innersoul was built from the beginning to be one of the Northern California, San Francisco and South Bay’s top total dance party bands. - Clean Slate 3-7 p.m. Sunday, July 13, at Swabbies Restaurant and Bar.
