- Candlelight: A Tribute to Beyoncรฉ 6:30-7:45 p.m. Thursday, May 29, at the California State Railroad Museum. Discover the music of Beyoncรฉ under the gentle glow of candlelight, performed by the Listeso String Quartet. Hear songs like โLove on Top,โ โTexas Hold โEm,โ โHold Up,โ โBest Thing I Never Had,โ โSay My Name,โ โSandcastlesโ and โDrunk in Love.โ Tickets are $33.
- 4th Annual Capitol City Classic Tattoo Convention 2025 2-10 p.m Friday, noon-10 p.m. Saturday and noon-7 p.m. Sunday, May 30-June 1, at the Safe Credit Union Convention Center. More than 300 of the most distinguished and recognized tattoo artists from all over the world. The Capitol City Classic Tattoo Convention has more international artists than any other show in the United States, boasting award-winning artists from more than 23 countries, as well as nationally recognized artists. - AAPI Night Market 5-10 p.m. Friday, May 30, at Capitol Mall. Join an evening featuring delicious food and drinks, local merchants and captivating live performances. Celebrate the diversity of the community in this vibrant marketplace that welcomes all ages to partake in the richness of AAPI cultures. Tickets from $34.
- Bob Marley Tribute w/Sol Horizon 6-10 p.m. Friday, May 30, at Swabbies Restaurant and Bar. Sol Horizon is Sonoma Countyโs best reggae band and Northern Californiaโs premier Bob Marley tribute band. They celebrate Marleyโs life and legacy by performing some of his greatest music. Tickets are $27.
- Sacramento Book Festival 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday, May 31, at Shephard Garden and Arts Center, 3330 McKinley Blvd. Sacramento-area authors are the heart of this festival. The Sacramento Book Festival is a great way to meet them, learn all about their work and grab signed copies. Theyโll have everything from rockets to romance; from cookbooks to childrenโs stories. The event features a series of workshops for aspiring writers. Meet members of the California Writers Club for guidance on how to develop art and listen to authors reading their stories and poetry. - DRUG AWARENESS AND OVERDOSE DEATH PREVENTION 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday, May 31, at Fruitridge Community Collaborative. Open to teens, parents, faith-based leaders and the community. They will review drug-resource guides and distribute free narcan and fentanyl test strips. Lunch will be provided. Free, attendees must register.
- Health, Hope & Healing: A Community Research Day 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday, May 31, at Clinical Trials Research, 3750 Auburn Blvd., suite A. This free, family-friendly health expo is especially for Sacramentoโs Black community. This empowering event is all about wellness, education and connection. Get practical support for your health with free screenings including: A1c/glucose testing, blood pressure checks and optional liver ultrasounds. Engage in quick, inspiring wellness chats every 30 minutes on topics such as โWhy Research Matters for the Black Community,โ โHow to Advocate for Your Healthโ and โMyths About Clinical Trials.โ Free, attendees must register.
- 3rd Annual Sacramento 49er Faithfuls BBQ 11 a.m.-5:30 p.m. Saturday, May 31, at Northgate Park. Gather up your fellow 49er Faithful and attend a great event to kick off the 2025 season. Tons of great food, piรฑatas for the kids, merchandise and an amazing community of 49ers fans, family and friends. Free and open to the public.
- KAYTRANADA Block Party @ Capitol Mall 5-11 p.m. Saturday, May 31, at Capitol Mall. Weโre bringing Grammy-winning artist KAYTRANADA to Sacramento for the largest block party weekend this city has seen. Also hear performances from Sango, Kitty Ca$h and Lou Phelps. Tickets are $44.

- Beehive Waxing Presents: Hive Pride 2025 1-5 p.m. Sunday, June 1, at Oak Park Brewing Co.
