The Shop 916 gift card program is back from the City of Sacramento to help with upcoming gift giving for graduations, Father’s Day and special occasions with a special promotion of buy a gift card, get a bonus gift card now through July 31.
“The Shop 916 gift card is the perfect way to celebrate special occasions with a gift while receiving extra spending money to shop locally,” said Valerie Mamone, the City’s project development manager responsible for the program.
The promotional offer features:
- Buy a $25 gift card and get a $10 bonus gift card for free
- Buy a $50 gift card and get a $25 bonus gift card for free
This offer is available May 1 – July 31 and the bonus gift cards must be used by August 31, 2025.
Bonus cards are limited to three per purchaser. Regular consumer-purchased gift cards do not expire. Gift cards can be purchased through the City’s website at shop916local.com
Over $1 million of Shop 916 gift and bonus cards have been redeemed in the city of Sacramento to date. More than 120 Sacramento small businesses have signed up to participate in the Shop 916 local gift card program.
All local storefront retailers located in the city can participate.
The program is open to all businesses within the city of Sacramento that have 500 or fewer full-time equivalent employees, with the exception of home-based businesses, franchises, liquor-only stores and cannabis businesses. Businesses can sign up to participate at shop916local.com.
