Lisa Lovett is a poet, writer, photographer, and host of the popular podcast, Seasoned Dialogue. In this podcast, she explores themes of self-love, healing, and emotional stability.
In 2020, after losing her mother in July and her brother two months later, Lovett began her podcast as a therapeutic outlet to process her grief, transforming her personal pain into a platform for healing and connection.
Through her work, Lovett creates spaces for honest conversations, helping people navigate personal growth with grace and resilience.
During Black History Month, Lovett led an interactive discussion at the University of the Pacific, centered on the theme โWhere Do We Go From Here?โ The event encouraged students to reflect on the past while envisioning a path forward, emphasizing the importance of healing, empowerment, and self-discovery in shaping the future.
In a recent interview with The Observer, Lovett spoke about the significance of resilience and encouragement, especially in Black communities.
As an introvert, her approach to healing is holistic and compassionate. “We have intergenerational trauma,” Lovett explains, “and many times we don’t know what to do with that.” She emphasized the importance of support and understanding, explaining that “many times, people don’t really necessarily need an answer. They just need an ear.”
