- California Climate Policy Summit 2024 – 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Tuesday, March 19, at the Sheraton Grand Hotel, Sacramento. The third annual summit will bring together elected and business leaders, policy experts, state officials, activists and environmental justice advocates to build support for climate policies corresponding with what science demands. Join The Climate Center to share ideas and build momentum behind policy solutions that will match the magnitude of the climate crisis. Tickets from $220.
- Sacramento State Softball – 1 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 19, at Sacramento State, Shea Stadium. Come out to cheer on the Sacramento State Softball team as they take on St. Mary’s College in a doubleheader. Tickets from $10.
- Creativity Speaks: Carissa Gutierrez & Zoe Watson – 5:30-8 p.m. Tuesday, March 19, at The Urban Hive. Creativity Speaks is a program designed to celebrate local creatives, offer attendees a source of inspiration from creatives outside their industry and strengthen Sacramento’s creative community. Join for the inaugural event of the 2024 Creativity Speaks series, featuring two dynamic voices at the forefront of the art and culture landscape – Carissa Gutierrez and Zoe Watson. Tickets are $15.
- She Shares: Advancing Pay Equity: Strategies for Closing the Gender Pay Gap – 5:30-7:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 20, at the Kimpton Sawyer Hotel. Join California First Partner Jennifer Siebel Newsom for a dynamic conversation centered on advancing pay equity and closing the gender pay gap in California. As a champion for gender equity, the First Partner will participate in a robust fireside chat with Daniela Pardo of Spectrum News. Following the fireside chat, a diverse panel of experts spanning various sectors will share insights, strategies and best practices to address pay disparities. Tickets from $60.
- Lyme Disease Support Group – 6-7:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 20, at the Carmichael Library Meeting room or via Google Meets. Every third Wednesday of the month, Lyme Fight Foundation (LFF) will host a monthly support group in the hopes of providing and suggesting helpful techniques that may help you and yours through the journey. - Hannibal Buress – 7-9 p.m. Friday, March 22, at the Crest Theatre. Experience a night of comedy from the legendary Hannibal Buress as he performs in Sacramento for one night only. The Chicago-born comedian is most known for his roles in The Eric Andre Show and has become a juggernaut in the world of entertainment. Tickets from $40.
- The Conversation III – 7-9 p.m. Friday, March 22, at Florin Square Plaza. This relationship forum, for couples and singles, will feature a male and female panel, an expert panel, guest speakers and a special performance by comedian Tristan Johnson. Free and open to the public.

This is Part 4 of the relationships workshop titled, Let’s Stay Together, which offers guidance on navigating relationships effectively for long-lasting love and enjoyment. Facilitated by Anita Ross, who brings over 18 years of facilitating trainings on relationship addiction, self-love and healthy relationships. Free and open to the public.
- The Great Make Day: Youth Maker Event – 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday, March 23, at Made Studio. This event features a scavenger hunt followed by an intro to 3D printing and game development. Please bring a big potato and any spare bottle caps. This event is perfect for youth ages 8 to 12. Tickets are $20.
- Eco Warriors Youth Club – 10 a.m.-11:30 a.m. Saturday, March 23, at Soil Born Farms American River Ranch. This is a club for youth ages 12-15 who want to build leadership skills, foster meaningful friendships and become changemakers. Youth Educator Nolan is launching a new series of hands-on experiences for young teens on Saturday mornings. With the help of community donations, they are giving away gently used formal wear including dresses, suits, shoes, accessories and other attire. Please wear under-clothing like sports bras, leotards, etc., as there will be limited privacy. Please don’t wear makeup when trying on items. Adults are welcome to accompany shoppers, but only teens may take items home. Free and open to the public.

- Christian Cooper: Enters the Chat – 6-7:30 p.m. Sunday, March 24, at Central Library Galleria. Christian Cooper will be visiting the library in person to discuss his book Better Living Through Birding: Notes from a Black Man in the Natural World. Cooper is a science and comics writer. As one of Marvel’s first openly gay writers, Cooper introduced the first gay male character in Star Trek and the first openly lesbian character for Marvel. Cooper now hosts the National Geographic series Extraordinary Birder. Free, attendees must register.
