SACRAMENTO – Gospel music floated across the state fairgrounds, helping to usher in the annual event’s 17-day run at Cal Expo.
The daylong Multicultural Gospel Celebration featured talents soloists, musicians and performers from throughout the state. Among those taking the PG&E Stage during the gospel concert were members of the United Voices of California Mass Choir, which included horn player Shayla Bell. The showcase is coordinated annually by Mary Nance.
