Occupation: Associate Clinical Social Worker/Mental Health Therapist & Motivational Speaker

LaVontae Hill is a dedicated mental health advocate and motivational speaker committed to breaking generational cycles and destigmatizing mental health in Sacramento’s Black community. With over seven years of experience supporting underserved youth and families, he brings both professional insight and lived experience to his work. Diagnosed with obsessive-compulsive disorder in 2019, Hill has bravely navigated his own mental health journey — overcoming trauma, violence, and personal loss to become a beacon of hope for others. His powerful story has been shared on platforms such as TEDx, UBSUC, and the Youth Employment Summit of Stockton, where he inspires others to confront stigma, embrace healing, and find strength in vulnerability. Hill plans to launch his own business focused on mental wellness and empowerment for Black youth and families across Sacramento.
