A CULTURE OF CARE

Profiles By Genoa Barrow | OBSERVER Senior Staff Writer

May 6-12, 2022 is National Nurses Week. In honor of this, The Sacramento OBSERVER has published a special commemorative edition titled “A Culture Of Care,” recognizing the work of just a few of these health heroes.

OBSERVER Senior Staff Writer Genoa Barrow profiled local Black nurses to shine a light on the impact they have in protecting the health of area residents. Whether in the hospital, the neighborhood or behind a desk, these local nurses play a pivotal role in making sure African Americans receive the health care they deserve. We thank them — and the countless other nurses — for their service.
