Sacramento State University will host the First and Second Rounds of the NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Championship at Golden 1 Center on March 16 and 18.

Six collegiate teams on the first day of action will play to move on to the second round. Six games will be played in Sacramento, separated into three sessions.

Basketball fans looking to attend the games here can purchase tickets now. No. 2 UCLA will face No. 15 University of North Carolina-Asheville (7:05 p.m start), No. 2 Arizona takes on No. 15 Princeton (1:30 p.m.), No. 7 Missouri battles No. 10 Utah State (10:40 a.m.) and No. 7 Northwestern plays No. 10 Boise State (4:35 p.m.).

The First round of action for all 68 teams on  March 16 and 17 can be viewed on CBS, truTV, TBS and TNT starting at 9:00 am.

For the teams that advance to the second round — March 18 and 19 — CBS, truTV, TBS and TNT will provide the coverage. 

It is the second time in six years that the City of Sacramento has had the pleasure of hosting the Men’s Division NCAA Tournament. 

Overall, The 2023 Division I Men’s Basketball Committee selected Alabama as the committee’s top overall seed. Houston, Purdue and Kansas also received No. 1 seeds.
