On Saturday Sept. 24 from 5 – 8 p.m., at the Brickhouse Gallery & Art Complex, Genoa Barrow, beloved Sacramento OBSERVER journalist and author, will present her first book of poetry, 7×7: Kudos and Kwansabas/Something For My Sistahs.
The new collection of poetry is inspired by the artform created by East St. Louis poet laureate, Dr. Eugene Redmond.
Each poem is written about or dedicated to a strong Black woman Genoa respects and admires. Women who are boldly leaving their marks on the world.
Come out and celebrate this book release with Genoa!
