Mental Health First 

A project of Anti Police-Terror Project, Mental Health First is a model for non-police response to mental health crises. Mental Health First helps with safety planning and responds to mental health crises including psychiatric emergencies and substance use issues. Phone support available 7 p.m.-7 a.m. Friday-Sunday. Voice of the Youth

Community-based organization aimed at strengthening young people. Offers teen support groups and group discussions on topics impacting the Black community including domestic violence, gun violence and human trafficking. For more, call 916-949-9026 or visit voiceoftheyouth.org.

WEAVE

Offers services for survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault and human trafficking in Sacramento County. Resources include a 24/7 phone line, online chat and message boards, safety planning, confidential housing and community trainings to prevent domestic and sexual violence. RESTART

The RESTART program is located at the UC Davis Behavioral Health Center. The acronym stands for Resilience Education and Supportive Tools For Adults Recovering from Trauma. RESTART provides mental health treatment for adults who have experienced trauma, including domestic and community violence. For more information, call 916-734-3574.

Sacramento Regional Family Justice Center

The center offers a number of services and resources for victims of domestic violence, elder abuse, human trafficking, sexual assault and child abuse. Call 916-875-HOPE (4673) or visit Hopethriveshere.org.

VOICES

VOICES is a committee of survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault who volunteer their time to celebrate their strength and survival. Survivors use their collective voice to help others through advocacy, education, and empowerment. VOICES members support each other as well as those experiencing domestic violence and sexual assault. Men Making a Difference

Women’s Empowerment

Women’s Empowerment provides job readiness programs and support services for unhoused women, including those who have experienced domestic violence and sexual assault. For more, call 916-669-2307 or visit womens-empowerment.org.

California Partnership to End Domestic Violence

Coalition of survivors, advocates and organizations across the state. Provides referrals to local programs. Call 916-444-7163 or visit cpedv.org.

Saint John’s Program for Real Change

Offers a residential program for Sacramento mothers in crisis and their children. The program helps women overcome challenges such as poverty, substance use disorder, mental health, violence and abuse. For more, call 916-453-1482 or 916-383-1804.

Sacramento Police Child Abuse Unit

Anyone who suspects a child is being harmed can report it to the Sacramento Police Department’s Child Abuse Unit at 916-808-0584. Sacramento County also has a 24-hour child abuse hotline, 916-875-5437 (875-KIDS).

Victims of Crime Resource Center

Provides emergency shelter, legal and financial assistance, children’s services and community educational services. For more information, call 916-739-7056 or 1-800-842-8467.

Safe at Home

Safe at Home is California’s address confidentiality program administered by the secretary of state. The program, which provides a free post office box and mail forwarding service, is designed to help victims and survivors of domestic violence, stalking or sexual assault to start new lives in peace and to provide added protections to their overall safety plans. National Domestic Violence Hotline

Available 24/7/365, the National Domestic Violence Hotline provides essential tools and support to help survivors of domestic violence so they can live free of abuse. Callers can expect highly trained, expert advocates offering free, confidential and compassionate support, crisis intervention information, education, and referral services in more than 200 languages. The number is 800-799-7233.
