Alchemist Microenterprise Academy is a 12-week business training course. AMA is designed to make sense of the confusing aspects of starting a food business. AMA targets entrepreneurs in the greater Sacramento region, particularly those who are from low-income backgrounds or under-resourced communities. This cohort will be mostly held on Zoom with a few in-person meetings.
They are currently taking applications for the next AMA cohort which will begin on September 13, running 12 weeks until December 7th (skipping Thanksgiving week). They are having four AMA information sessions live-on-Zoom every Tuesday from 6-7 p.m., between July 26 and August 16. They also provide the option to watch the info session in a recorded, on-demand format. These information sessions explain the program and how to apply.
It is mandatory to attend either a live-on-Zoom info session or complete the on-demand AMA info session in order to apply for the program. Questions about the program can be directed to alchemistkitchen@alchemistcdc.org.
