On Wednesday June 8 from 9:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m., Veteran nonprofit Nation’s Finest will host a Mental Health Resource Fair at Mather Veteran’s Village, located at 10621 Schirra Avenue. The fair will prove information to veterans about resources in the community.

Organizations from across the community will be in attendance to discuss a variety of mental health and self-care practices. Information booths will feature topics such as: animal therapy, wellness, recovery, mental health resources, yoga & meditation, financial literacy and employment resources. Complimentary lunch will be provided to all guests who complete an event stamp card.

Veterans of all eras and branches of service are welcome. No registration is necessary. Anyone from the community is welcome to come ask questions and learn more from service providers. Questions about the event can be directed to Leanna Deaton at 916-307-8965 or ldeaton@nationsfinest.org.

This is the third time Nation’s Finest has hosted a Mental Health Fair to this scale in the last two years, having served nearly a thousand members of the community with referrals and services at mental health-focused events since 2020. This recent history upholds a long-standing tradition as Nation’s Finest celebrates 50 years of service to veterans throughout 2022.
