Continued good health is a common New Year’s resolution. Local residents can get a jump on that commitment with a number of free vaccination clinics set for the coming weeks.

The first Saturday vaccine pop-up clinic will be held at the Winter Wonderland event taking place on Saturday, December 4 from 10:00 a.m. to noon at The Salvation Army. The Salvation Army is located at 2540 Alhambra Boulevard.

The event features drop in vaccinations provided at no cost by UC Davis Health. Vaccines are open to residents age 5 and older.

No appointment, no identification, no insurance or proof of immigration status are required to receive the vaccination.

The pop-up clinics are presented in partnership with City Church of Sacramento, the California Department of Public Health, and the Sacramento Black Media Coalition.

City Church will also host vaccinations on December 10 from 9:30 to  3:30 p.m.; December 17; January 7, 2022; January 14, 2022; and on April 16, 2022 during a larger Easter in the Park event scheduled to be held at 4th Avenue Park.
