Escape Velocity Resources Foundation, Inc. hosts its Children’s Literacy Book Drive November 18-December 15.

The local non-profit is asking the members of the community to “Donate A Book, Shape A Life,” by donating new or gently used African American baby, children and young adult books. Books can be dropped off at All Things Literacy and More bookstore, located at 2251 Florin Road, Suite 113. Escape Velocity, started by the late entrepreneur Dana Maeshia, also promotes literacy through its Boyz N the Hood and Around The Way Girls book clubs aimed at African American youth. Organizers are looking to collect 300 books.
