On Saturday, Nov. 13 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. the City of Sacramento and SMUD will be presenting the grand opening of the Museum of Science and Curiosity (MOSAC).

MOSAC piques curiosity and sparks imagination in guests of all ages with hands-on interactive exhibits and programming that explore the wonders of science, technology, engineering, arts and math.

The exhibitions address global and local issues on topics relating to energy, health, water, nature, space and design engineering. The state-of-the-art planetarium theater screens a variety of spectacular star shows and feature films.

MOSAC is observing limited-capacity visits to keep their staff and community safe. The timed ticketing program allows you to reserve your visit in advance, so you will be able to fully experience all MOSAC has to offer in a relaxing environment. It’s important to know that we may not be able to accommodate your visit without an advance reservation, so make yours today!

Go to visitmosac.org to order your timed-entry tickets. Tickets start at $15, but prices may vary. MOSAC requires that you wear your mask before entering the facility.

The SMUD Museum of Science and Curiosity is packed with interactive STEAM-based exhibits, games, and design challenges for all ages. Whether you are attending weekly live demonstrations in the Featured Exhibition Gallery or taking in a planetarium show, there is so much to experience every time you come to visit.

MOSAC’s mission is to serve as a dynamic regional hub that engages and inspires people of all ages to explore the wonders, possibilities, and responsibilities of science.

They aim to inspire the next generation of scientists, technologists and thought leaders to meet the needs of the 21st century workforce, and to help face the challenges of a rapidly changing world.
