On Wednesday, September 29, at 5:30 p.m, join Supervisor Rich Desmond as he hosts a community meeting to address plans to place and welcome Afghanistan refugees in our community. We will hear from Sacramento County, the Office of Congressman Ami Bera, San Juan Unified School District, and Local Resettlement Agencies. They will provide an update on how we are preparing to welcome the new refugees into our community, and how you can work with their offices to help.
