FOLSOM – SAFE Credit Union is pleased to announce President and CEO Dave Roughton accepted the role of Board Chair of the Sacramento Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce. As Chair, Roughton is responsible for guiding the chamber’s economic recovery plan and representing chamber members of the Sacramento Region.

“It is a tremendous honor to serve as chair,” says Roughton, who has served on the chamber board for 10 years. “My focus will be to do what is necessary to help our region recover from the economic impacts caused by the pandemic and to provide continued support for Sacramento’s regional growth and prosperity through economic development.”

Roughton will also help oversee a regional effort to help businesses attract and retain a more engaged, diverse workforce through a new partnership between SAFE Credit Union and the Chamber. This initiative will provide new corporate culture indicators and survey tools—developed by Sacramento-based human resources company Emtrain—to businesses in the Greater Sacramento region.
