United College Action Network (U-CAN) is scheduled to host its 21st annual Historically Black College Recruitment Fair Tour later this month.

U-CAN builds stronger communities by opening a world of opportunity to students on the West Coast to historically Black colleges and universities (HBCUs) through a virtual recruitment fair tour Wednesday, October 14 and Thursday, October 15, 3:00 p.m. -7:00 p.m. (PST), Friday, October 16, and Saturday, October 17 9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. (PST). More than 28,000 participants were in attendance last year.

“Being an HBCU student and having chosen Xavier University as my college during a U-CAN recruitment fair, I know the importance of exposing students to the various campuses. By having the opportunity to receive preliminary ‘on-the-spot’ admissions options, scholarships, financial aid information and face-to-face exposure with many of the most respected historically Black institutions of higher learning within the United States was priceless,” said Drew Pearson.

During each of the fairs, official representatives from up to 40 colleges and universities will be recruiting college-bound students virtually during this four-day event. Interested high school and college students who meet the requirements will have the opportunity to receive preliminary “on the spot” admissions and scholarship offers from more than 30 colleges and universities.
