SACRAMENTO – The premiere documentary screening of “S.A.C.” aired last week at Sofia’s Sutter Theatre: Sofia Tsakopoulos Center for The Arts in Midtown Sacramento.
The documentary explores the legacy of Stephon Clark, a 22-year-old unarmed Black man shot to death by Sacramento police officers in March 2018.
Produced by Sacramento Bee journalist Alyssa Hodenfield, “S.A.C.” is an in-depth look into the lasting impacts of Clark’s death — from the enduring pain felt by his family and community, to the massive protests that helped change local and state legislation.
The event also served as a fundraiser as a portion of the donations to view the documentary were used to support the Roberts Family Development Center and Rose Family Creative Empowerment.
