Winter is coming and the Gospel Center Church of God In Christ (COGIC) wants the community to be prepared. The area church is prepared to wrap needy residents in warmth, hosting a winter coat drive earlier this month.
Pastor Ricky Currington, brought a trunk full of coats, joining others who donated coats for men, women and children who would otherwise go without as the weather gets cold. Loreen Pryor, with Sacramento NAACP President Betty Williams. Sharon Jackson and Candy Jackson also helped collect clothing during the event.
