SACRAMENTO – The Sacramento Regional Transit District (RT) will host three community open house meetings to share information and receive feedback regarding the Green Line to the Airport light rail extension project. As part of the environmental planning process, the community is invited to share ideas on considerations to be addressed in the draft environmental studies.

The first meeting is scheduled to be held in the North Natomas area on Tuesday, December 1 at the Natomas Park Elementary School Library, located at 4700 Crest Drive. A second open house is set for Wednesday, December 2 and will be held in Downtown Sacramento at the Tsakopoulos Library Galleria, located at 828 I Street. the third meeting is set for Thursday, December 3 at the South Natomas Community Center, located at 2921 Truxel Road. All meetings are set to run from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.

The project will extend light rail service approximately 13 miles from the 7th & Richards/Township 9 Station to the Sacramento International Airport, and is strategically situated in close proximity to several planned high-density, mixed-use neighborhoods as well as regional employment and entertainment destinations in downtown Sacramento and the Natomas communities.

The community open house meetings will include maps of the proposed line and additional information about the Green Line to the Airport light rail extension project. RT staff and members of the project team will be available to answer questions and discuss ideas. A brief presentation will begin each night at 6:30 p.m.
