Crystal Bowl Book Club is coordinating the Sacramento Black Book Fair’s (SBBF) Second Annual Book Drive now through June 7.
The group’s goal is to gather 300 new or gently used books written by Black authors. All book genres and books for all age groups welcome. Books will be donated to local community organizations that promote literacy and spread the joy of reading.
Books can be dropped off at three SBBF Book Drive locations: Underground Books, located at 2814 35th Street, (916) 737-3333; Cartridge World, 7119 Elk Grove Boulevard, Elk Grove, open Monday–Friday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., (916) 714-6055; and Exquisite U Salon, 1445 Fulton Avenue, Tuesday–Saturday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., (916) 338-1137.
