SACRAMENTO – The Sacramento Black Chamber of Commerce Foundation invites the community to attend its 29th Annual Installation and Business Awards dinner on December 4.
The event is set to be held at the Sheraton Grand Hotel in Downtown Sacramento from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. The theme of this year’s event is “The Power of Commerce, Culture and Community.” The Sacramento Black Chamber of Commerce is led by President and CEO Azizza Davis Goines. Organizers say the event highlights centuries of great African American contributions to Sacramento’s economic and social prosperity.
This year’s keynote speaker will be Dr. Helene Dillard, UC Davis’ first African American Dean of the College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences.
Founded in 1985, the Chamber was organized to bring African American business owners and professionals together to create a solid economic structure within Sacramento’s business community. Its mission is to assure member businesses will benefit through services that sustain and increase their revenues and that the Greater Sacramento region benefits through the growth of African American owned businesses.
Tickets are $150 per person. The Sheraton Grand is located at 1230 J Street. For more information, visit www.sacblackchamber.org.
