RANCHO CORDOVA – The Rancho Cordova Library is seeking volunteers to perform volunteer service during selected hours April 2- 5.
Volunteers will be seated in the library and every hour, put hash marks into boxes on a prepared form noting several features about library visitors: age group, whether patrons are carrying items such as backpacks, walkers, canes or bags; and what they do while at the library, such as read a magazine or newspaper, select books, pick out DVDs, connect with the Internet, play Chess, or other activities.
Even a two-hour volunteer session helps. The Rancho Cordova Library is located at 9845 Folsom Boulevard. Those interested in volunteering must call Librarian Jill Stockinger at (916) 228-2113 to sign up.
