
SACRAMENTO -The Alpha Academy Martha Parker Scholarship Fund presents its 2014 Gospel Concert on Sunday, January 26. The concert is set to be held inside Cosumnes River College’s Recital Hall at 3:00 p.m. Doors open an hour prior to showtime at 2:00 p.m.
The theme of this year’s Gospel Concert is “Legacy of Love: Love is the Light and Gift We Share.” The event features inspirational gospel performances and the presentation of the 2014 Spiritual Warriors.
This year’s award recipients are Regina Carthen-Finney of Shiloh Baptist Church; Bertha King of St. Andrews African Methodist Episcopal Church; Rev. Claude Odom Jr. of Antioch Progressive Church; and Deacon Minor Washington, Jr. of First Tabernacle Baptist Church.
The 2014 Gospel Concert is co-sponsored by the Zeta Beta Lambda Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. Cosumnes River College is located at 8401 Center Parkway. Admisison is $15.
