The True Grit Sports and Cosumnes
Oaks Jr. Wolfpack “Second Annual Youth Football Camp”
was held at Cosumnes Oaks High School in Elk Grove recently.
The camp offered activities for
youth aged from 7 to 17.
This year’s headliners featured
former NFL linebacker and current sports agent Adrian Ross
and Vance Joseph, former NFL defensive back and current assistant
secondary coach for the San Francisco 49ers.
The Youth Football Camp focused
on teaching the essence of how to play the game better and
the importance to developing into productive citizens off
the field.
The participants also learned
team techniques from an outstanding staff, emphasizing a positive,
patient approach combined with lectures, film review, demonstrations,
and plenty of time to play football.
In addition, there were guest
appearances by current and retired NFL football players and
future professional players from colleges such as Boise State
University, University of California, University of Washington,
University of Oregon, University of Nevada-Las Vegas, Sacramento
State University and others.
The Youth Football Camp was supported
by the NFL Players Association of Northern California, Signature
Sports Preps, Bulldog Development, Girls Gone Diva-Event Planning,
Cartridge World Ink – Elk Grove, Omega Psi Phi Fraternity
Epsilon Xi Chapter, and the Woody A. Paige Foundation.
