LAS VEGAS – NAACP Chairman Roslyn M. Brock will address the 105th NAACP Annual Convention at the first Open Public Mass Meeting on Sunday, July 20. The event is being held in Las Vegas at the Mandalay Bay Hotel Convention Center. Ms. Brock will address delegates who represent NAACP branches from across the country.
She will speak about the importance of voting in a crucial election year, and the challenges facing the NAACP in the year ahead. The theme of this year’s convention is “All in For Justice and Equality.”
Chairman Brock made history in February 2010 when she was unanimously elected as the 14th chairman of the national NAACP. She is the youngest person and fourth woman to hold this position. In the past year she has been a national voice on many current issues, including Troy Davis, the Trayvon Martin tragedy, and voter suppression efforts in states across the country.
