Former NBA All-Star Isiah Thomas is IndiviZible’s next guest speaker to be presented March 24 in Sacramento.

OAK PARK — NBA Hall of Fame player and entrepreneur Isiah Thomas will be the next guest for IndiviZible’s Speakers Series. Thomas’ engagement will take place at the Guild Theater at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, March 24.

Isiah Lord Thomas III was born on Chicago’s West Side. His professional career spans more than 30 years in business and sports and he built a reputation as tireless worker and formidable competitor.

Thomas’ leadership and fighting spirit helped guide the last-place Detroit Piston to back-to-back championships in 1988 and 1989. While in a Piston’s uniform, Thomas was a player representative for the NBA and served as a Vice President.

During his tenure from 1983-1994, Thomas helped establish four historic Collective Bargaining Agreements and pushed to raise the average NBA player’s salary from $300,000 to $1.8 million.

After retiring from 12 great years of basketball, Thomas took front office position as part owner and executive vice president of the expansion Toronto Raptors team. He also served as head coach of the Indiana Pacers, president, GM, and coach of the New York Knicks and was part owner of the Continental Basketball Association.

Thomas is the chairperson and CEO of Isiah International, and has built companies that specialize in waste removal and recycling, multi-family housing, and the sports industries.

He is the sole owner of four companies: Isiah International Holdings, and investment holding company; GRE3N Waste Removal, Isiah International Real Estate, a multi-housing development firm; and Isiah Capital, a private investment firm.
