SACRAMENTO – She encouraged sistas to exhale and get their groove back.
Locals are invited to share An Evening With Terry McMillan, the bestselling author at Sacramento State University on Thursday, February 6. The lecture, being held in celebration of Black History Month, is scheduled to run 7:30-9:00 p.m. in the University Union Ballroom.
McMillan is the author of such books as “A Day Late and a Dollar Short,” “Getting To Happy,” and “Waiting To Exhale” and “How Stella Got Her Groove Back,” which were both made into films. Her latest novel is a family drama, “Who Asked You.
Her local presentation is free and open to the public. In it, she will convey the power and impact of expressing the written word. All ages welcome.
Ms. McMillan’s appearance is sponsored by Associated Students, Inc., the Multi-Cultural Center and the University Union UNIQUE Programs.
