OPINION – Let’s get right down to the real truth…There is no such things as a mistake. Now, that fact may not make sense at this exact moment…but let me explain.
Every single situation and circumstance that we encounter whether pleasant or unkind is gifted to each and every one of us. That’s right; I said a “gift”…
Every situation, relationship and challenge is provided for the sole purpose of allowing us to grow, to become stronger and wiser.
Dennis Waitley once stated: “Don’t dwell on what went wrong. Instead, focus on what to do next. Spend your energies on moving forward toward finding the answer.”
In a recent conversation I was having with a young lady that I coach, she began to share with me her challenges while finding a way to place an actual label on her current uncomfortable state of being. Over the course of my 30-minute conversation, it began to become evident that her mind had placed a perspective on what she was going through.
A perspective on what shouldn’t be versus what is.
You see, our minds operate in a sense of conditioning where we perceive the world as we are instead of viewing it as it is. If we are optimistic then we view a mistake as a seed of equivalent or greater benefit. If we are pessimistic, we will naturally see a mishap as if the world is ending and our lives are completely over.
The truth is, coming to the realization that whatever choice you make, you also have the power to un-choose them; which can ultimately manifest an internal perspective that you didn’t have before.
After all, every moment, every mistake and every choice is already designed to happen in our lives, so by releasing the control, we end up giving ourselves permission to grow.
Because…in the end if we are not growing then we are not living.
Be Bold. Be Great. Be You.
