Red Cross to Host Black Tie Event Honoring Tuskegee Airman

The local American Red Cross is rolling out the red carpet for an elegant evening celebrating its partnership with the armed forces on Saturday, November 2.

The Capital Region Chapter hosts its black tie Tiffany Circle Gala at the Sacramento Grand Ballroom, 629 J Street, from 6:00-11:00 p.m. Local members of the George S. “Spanky” Roberts Chapter of the Tuskegee Airmen who are Documented Original Tuskegee Airmen and surviving spouses will be honored during the event. They will be presented with Tiffany Circle Challenge Coins.

Other festivities include an auction and dancing to swing music provided by Peter Petty and his Terpsichoreans. Proceeds from the first annual Red Cross Gala will support programs for active duty and retired military living in the local Red Cross’ 24-county region.
