SACRAMENTO – Sacramento City Councilmember Bonnie Pannell along with the Sacramento Employment Training Agency (SETA)/Sacramento Works, and the California Employment Development Department (EDD) will host a career and job fair for area residents on Thursday, May 24.
The job fair is at the Sam Pannell-Meadowview Community Center from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. More than 30 employers, job resources and educational institutions will be on hand for job seekers.
“We need to do all we can in this economy to connect people to jobs and training opportunities. I hope District 7 and 8 residents, along with the surrounding area residents, take advantage of the many employers, training schools and agency’s that will be available to them on May 24,” said Councilmember Pannell.
The fair will also provide applicants an opportunity to speak with employers directly, have their resume critiqued, obtain information from educational providers, and register with Sacramento Works’ network of One Stop Career Centers. SETA/Sacramento Works and EDD provide job seekers a variety of services to fit their needs along with employment and education programs for youth in Sacramento County.
